About Us

The Sussex Community Association was formed in 2017 to unite our community in the goal of maintaining and improving the quality of life, cleanliness and overall morale of the area within our boundaries.  The homes in the Sussex boundaries began being built in the 1920s.

The community currently has 1100 homes and and approximately 3500 residents.  This Community Association has organized meetings and is working to improve their community in both the residential and business areas.

The Community Association works within the community to address the needs of its members.  Whether it be food distributions, books from our lending library or medical equipment from our medical closet.  We also strive to build a stronger community by hosting multiple community events each year, such as, community picnic, trunk or treat, dumpster day, National Night Out and multiple community area clean ups.

We work hard to fund these events and opportunities for our community through business partnerships, local grants and other avenues.  Our community believes in giving back, we believe in helping others.

We feel that, in doing so, we build a stronger more cohesive community.

We are more than a community association, we are your friend,

your neighbor, your family.

The Community Association works within the community to address the needs of its members.

Our Mission

The mission of the Sussex Community Association is to preserve and maintain property values by encouraging residents to maintain their properties; protect and improve the quality of life within our community by enhancing the public safety, welfare and interests of our homeowners; to gain consensus and speak as a uniform voice to local government and communities; and to enhance community life by sponsoring gatherings and events that promote active engagement with residents.

Our Vision

We envision a community of friendly, caring and respectful neighbors, who work together to uphold and grow the value of our properties as well as enjoy the benefits of family, friend and community.
